Tracking

Sometimes you might find that your tyre wear may be uneven, or you may even feel vibrations as you drive. Having uneven tyre wear can affect the handling and safety of your car, and should be checked as soon as possible.

Problems with your cars tracking can occur through roadside hazards such as kerbs or potholes, or through wear and tear of suspension or other mechanical parts.

The first sign that your tracking may be misaligned is if your steering wheel begins to wobble over a certain speed.

If you begin to notice uneven wear on your tyres then by bringing your vehicle to Abacus we will:

• Carry out a free tyre check
• Correct suspension angles against manufacturers specifications
• Correct wheels on a wheel balancing machine
• Eliminate future uneven wear
• Eliminate excessive vibrations

Once your tracking has been corrected you should notice a far smoother ride from your car, with less excursion and wear placed upon the tyres.
